How to connect your OANDA account to Stax
VerifiedClosed positions arrive in your journal on their own, financing and swaps included, and Stax signs each one as it lands. Worth knowing: this connection carries your OANDA forex account. If you also trade CFDs — gold, indices, oil — OANDA routes those through MetaTrader 5, so follow the MetaTrader 5 page for them.
-
Log in at hub.oanda.com.
-
Top right, click Trading Tools, then under Other choose OANDA API.
-
Click Generate and copy the key. OANDA shows it once — if you already generated one and lost it, click Revoke and generate a fresh one.
-
In the left sidebar, open Connections.
-
Click Add Connection.
-
In Select Connection, search for OANDA and click it. Three cards open: Auto-Sync, Import CSV File and Add Manually.
-
Choose the Auto-Sync card.
-
Paste it into Personal Access Token, set Environment to live or demo to match the account, then click Connect.
How to import OANDA trades into Stax from a file
The route for history from before you connected. One export covers whatever range you ask for.
-
Log in to OANDA's web trading platform.
-
Open Menu → Transaction History.
-
Pick the trading account you want to export.
-
Choose your start and end dates, click Show Transactions, then Export to CSV.
-
In the left sidebar, open Connections.
-
Click Add Connection, then pick OANDA.
-
Of the three cards, choose Import CSV File.
-
Click Choose File and select your .csv. Stax knows the OANDA layout, so there is nothing to map.
-
Confirm the timezone in the panel — OANDA stamps the export in the timezone of the machine that ran it.
-
Check the matched trades in the preview, then confirm the import.
